Electricity

 

People started using electricity from 1887 after Thomas Edison made the first electric lamp and from this invention the world developed. The electricity is a part of our life and it is very important for us and we use it in all times and areas. And now we can’t spend one day without it because we need it in houses and works to complete our works. Since Edison invented the electric lamp the electricity was developing every day and it became simple and easy to use and far from danger. In this essay I am going to write about electricity and what changes that has occurred in the past five years.

First of all, the electricity became faster and intermittently in transferring to reach cities and houses unlike before there were no developed equipments but now there are sophisticated towers which transfer the energy easily without any problem in connections. For short distance they use underground cables to transfer electrical power this way is good because that cables don’t need too much money for maintenance and can’t be damage easily.

Few years ago the prices of using electricity increased in most countries in the world because in some countries they use gas to generate electricity and if the price of gas increased the price of electricity consumption will increase. In these days cars companies try to increase using electricity in the cars and they developed the engines with electricity and try to use electricity instead of fuel because the oil is expensive also the gas. From electricity we can generate other energy which called hydro-electrical and it’s generating from water and in these days they use it too much unlike before. Hydro-electrical is generating by using turbines or building dams in seas and rivers but this way is expensive but it has many benefits for example it doesn’t cases pollution, electricity can be generated constantly and it is renewable. Electrical energy is renewable and the reasons of make people still use it is that it is its friendly and it can be use in many ways

All in all, Electrical energy makes our life easier and no one can live without it because we need it all the time. Generating electricity did change in last few years and it will change in the future and that thing distinguishes electricity to other power energies and we can generate it in different ways.

            Nowadays, people use many currencies from all countries. When people travel they must use another currency. In this essay I am going to write about the advantages and disadvantages of using global currency.

            First of all, there are many advantages of using a global currency. The first advantage is that when you travel to another country you don’t have to care about the economy of that country. You will not pay for changing currency because in these days it is too expensive. If the currency became global the trading will be easy and the commercial fraud will be less. It will be easier to go shopping from the internet without caring about conversion charge.

               Although there are several advantages, there are some disadvantages. The first on is that the economies of all countries will be connected to each other so if the economy fell in any country that will affect other countries. The second disadvantage is that commodity prices will be changed in all countries and this will affect the currency and it will be weak value.

            All in all, a global currency has some advantages and two disadvantages but the advantages are more than the disadvantages. In my opinion I think the global currency is better because it will improve the relations between countries.

          The graph and table are shown. The graph shows the number of visits to Australia by overseas resident from 1975 until 2005. The table shows the number of visitors in millions in six countries. In this report I am going to describe the graph and the table.

          First of all, the graph shows that in 1975 the number of visits was 9 million. In 1985 the number increased to 16 million. After that it was 23 million in 1995. Finally in the last year which is 2005 the visits were 31 million.

          The table shows that in 1975 Japan got the highest number of visitors which was 3.2 million and 12 million in 2005. Secondly South Korea got 2,9 million in 1975 and 9.1 million in 2005. Europe got 1.1 million in 1975 and 4,5 million in 2005. The country with the lowest number was china which got 0.3 million in 1974 and 0.8 million in 2005.

          Overall, the number of visitors to Australia increased dramatically in the period 1975 to 2005, from 8.8 million to over 30 million. Most visitors throughout came from Japan.

            Nowadays many people are suffering from obesity. And fat people always try to do a diet and eat balanced meals. Some people claim that a balanced diet and meals is the key to healthy life. In this essay I am going to write about the importance of diet and how it affects our life if we do it in the wrong way.

            First of all some people do a balanced diet to reduce their weight because this diet makes their bodies reduce quickly and easily in a short time. But they don’t know that their bodies get affected the body needs some special food to get power. Some diets make the brain get confused and unable to concentrate because of lake of vitamins. The body and the brain need to activity and we can get it from some meals.

            Some people eat balanced meals but on the other hand they try to do some exercises to maintain the health of their bodies. This way is very useful because they keep their bodies away from obesity.

            All in all, diet is very important but also we need to eat some meals that give us power and do some exercises to avoid obesity.

          In these days we must direct children to be collaborators and competitors because this directing will help them in their life to be successful in school. Competition and cooperation are very important and some people think that competition is more important than cooperation. In this essay I am going to write about competition and cooperation and how they improve the life and make it easier.

First of all, competition is very important for the children because it teaches them how to be different and better than other children; for example in school the competitive student will try to get marks more than other students. Competition has many benefits; it is like football teams; they all compete to win the league. If the child grows up competitively that will make him more self confident.

Although competition has many benefits, the cooperation has several points. Firstly it is important to be cooperative because cooperation makes the child learn more because he will study with a group which means they are all sharing information and everyone will take his information and work with it to achieve success. Many people prefer cooperation to competition because they think it is a good way to improve the student’s knowledge.

All in all, there are many points about competition and cooperation. In my opinion they both are important because if the child is competitive only he will be vain and if he only cooperates he will be a lazy student.

            Two charts are shown. They are about the main reasons for study of different age groups and the amount of support they received from employers in the UK.

            The first chart is about reasons for study according to age. Beginning with students under 26 years old, they got the highest percentage for career and the lowest for interest. After that for students between 30 and 39 the percentage for career slightly decreased and for interest increased. Between 49 and 49 the percentages are the same. Finally the students over 49 are studying for interest more than career.  

            According to the second chart, the employers support the students under 26 years old. Then the percentage decreased for the students between 26 and 29. After that students between 30 and 39 years old got the lowest percentage. Finally the percentage increased for students over 49 years old.

            All in all, most young students study for career while old students study for career while old students study for interest.

This table shows the sales at a restaurant in an American business district in a week in October from 7^th to 13^th. In this report I am going to write about the differences in sales in that restaurant in one week.

          According to the table the dinner is always more than lunch. Also we can see on Friday the dinner sales were the highest in the week, $4,350 because of the weekend. The second day is Tuesday which got $3,850 and the lowest one is Saturday which got $2,900. Moving to the lunch, we can see it is always less than dinner. The highest sales were on Wednesday  which got $2,500. But Saturday had the lowest sales, $1,950.

To sum up, generally speaking the overall picture indicates that dinner generates more sales than lunch.
